Andy Van Guilder

Host of Alien Endurance | Ultramarathon Runner | Endurance Athlete

Originally from San Diego, California, Andy Van Guilder now calls Charleston, South Carolina, home. An avid endurance athlete and ultramarathon runner, Andy has developed a passion for pushing physical and mental limits while connecting with the incredible community of athletes who share that same drive.

In 2025, Andy completed his first 100-mile ultramarathon, an experience that deepened his appreciation for the resilience, discipline, and determination behind endurance sports. In 2026, he continues to challenge himself, training for Ironman 70.3 in Haines City, Florida, while exploring new dimensions of endurance.

His passion for the endurance community extends beyond racing. In 2026, Andy volunteered at Trail 29029 in Park City, Utah, supporting athletes as they pushed through one of the sport's most unique endurance challenges.

Andy also serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for OHM Radio 96.3 FM in Charleston, where he hosts Alien Endurance, a weekly radio show dedicated to sharing the remarkable stories of endurance athletes, coaches, race directors, and everyday people doing extraordinary things.

Professionally, Andy serves as Director of Operations at Ella Ora, bringing more than two decades of leadership and hospitality experience to his work.

Outside of racing and radio, Andy is a husband to his wife, Kelley, and a proud father of three. While he's no stranger to long miles and challenging races, some of his favorite miles are the ones shared with Matt, one of his closest friends and longtime trail-running partners. For Andy, endurance has always been about more than finish lines. It's about the friendships, shared experiences, and community built along the way.

Through Alien Endurance, Andy hopes to celebrate the endurance community, inspire others to explore their own limits, and uncover the stories behind the miles.
